AED is seeking a Project Team Lead to lead the end-to-end delivery of capital projects ranging from $10K–$2M within chemical, petrochemical, nuclear, or pharmaceutical facilities. This role requires expertise in managing equipment installations, utility upgrades, cleanroom modifications, tooling moves, mezzanines/platforms, HVAC/controls, and minor process improvements. The ideal candidate has experience leading capital projects, is familiar with SAP, and can quickly learn new methodologies and software applications, with training provided for project software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead capital projects from initiation to closeout, including equipment installs, utility upgrades, cleanroom modifications, tooling moves, mezzanine/platforms, HVAC/controls, and minor process improvements.
- Develop project scope, schedules, budgets, resource plans, risk registers, and procurement strategies.
- Manage vendor selection, RFQs, contracts, and subcontractor performance; coordinate installation, site acceptance, and punch-list completion.
- Ensure compliance with SEMI/industry standards, local building codes, EHS, cleanroom contamination control, and facility safety requirements.
- Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders, including operations, process engineering, facilities, EH&S, quality, procurement, and maintenance, to minimize production disruption.
- Maintain project documentation, including schedules, drawings, P&IDs, change orders, commissioning protocols, test reports, and as-built records.
- Track project financials, including cost-to-complete, change order impacts, PO management, and close-out financial reconciliation.
- Drive risk mitigation and issue resolution; escalate as needed and implement corrective actions.
- Plan and supervise commissioning, qualification (as applicable), and turnover to operations; support post-installation validation and lessons-learned.
- Maintain clear communication with site leadership and provide regular status reporting (RAG, milestones, spend).
- Support continuous improvement of project delivery processes, templates, and contractor management.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience leading capital projects in chemical, petrochemical, nuclear, or pharmaceutical industries.
- Familiarity with SAP; ability to quickly learn new project methodologies and software applications (training provided).
- Degree in engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Industrial) preferred.
- Proven experience managing budgets, schedules, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
Salary: $140,000 – $165,000
