Key Responsibilities
System Implementation:
- Support control systems for industrial process
- Program and configure Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) Allen Bradley, Distributed Control Systems (DCS) Honeywell TDC 3000 and Experion, and SCADA systems
- Implement process control algorithms and strategies
Process Optimization:
- Analyze existing processes to identify areas for improvement
- Develop and implement control strategies to enhance efficiency and product quality
- Optimize process parameters to reduce waste and energy consumption
- Troubleshooting and Maintenance:
- Diagnose and resolve issues in control systems
- Perform regular system maintenance and upgrades
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules
Documentation and Reporting:
- Create and maintain system documentation, including control logic diagrams and operating procedures
- Develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Project Coordination:
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, operators, and management
- Oversee the installation and commissioning of new control systems
Technology Integration:
- Integrate new technologies into existing control systems
- Support data acquisition and historian system (OSI PI)
- Develop interfaces between control systems and business systems (e.g., MES, ERP)
Cybersecurity:
- Implement security measures “patches” to protect control systems from cyber threats
Required Skills and Qualifications
- A minimum of a B.S. degree in engineering or 10 years controls related experience is required.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in implementation of process control and related systems in processing plants is required.
- Extensive knowledge in industry standards for controls documentation, loop tuning, safety systems, and PLC configuration is required.
- Knowledge reading and developing of process, electrical and Instrumentation drawings Cause and Effect Diagrams, specification and control narratives is required.
- Configuration experience in various HMI and PLC platforms along with function block and ladder logic programming is required
- Working knowledge of Honeywell Experion DCS, and TDC 3000 configuration experience is required.
- Provide guidance to project teams on system architecture and control strategy.
- Familiar with PHA / LOPA processes and the layers of protection provided by BPCS and SIS systems.
- Ability to independently manage multiple tasks as well as being able to manage large amounts of work through others (like contractor support) is required.
Experience in Chemical/Refining environment is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits $135K to $182,000 ($64hr - $87hr)
