The Opportunity

What You will Do
- Sort and organize samples by specimen type
- Assess sample integrity and prepare for testing
- Perform DNA/RNA extractions using Qiagen HTs and Kingfisher systems
- Plate samples into 96‑ or 384‑well plates
- Run Real‑Time PCR on QuantStudio instruments
- Analyze and report PCR results with accuracy
- Troubleshoot instrumentation and ensure smooth lab operations
What We are Looking For
- Education: Bachelor's in chemistry, Biology, or Medical Lab Science OR MLT/MLS certification
- Experience: At least 1 year of PCR and 1 year of laboratory experience (required)
- Skills:
- Micro pipetting (single channel, multichannel, repeater)
- Data analysis and troubleshooting
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to standard precautions

A Day in the Life – Night Shift PCR Lab Technician
- Start of Shift (7:00 PM): Receive and sort incoming specimens, ensuring proper labeling and integrity checks.
- Early Evening: Perform DNA/RNA extractions using Qiagen HTs and Kingfisher systems, preparing samples for PCR analysis.
- Mid‑Shift: Plate samples into 96‑ or 384‑well plates and run Real‑Time PCR on QuantStudio instruments.
- Late Night: Analyze PCR results, troubleshoot instrumentation if needed, and document findings with precision.
- End of Shift (7:00 AM): Finalize reports, communicate results to the team, and ensure all equipment and samples are secured for the next cycle.
Throughout the shift, you will work in a collaborative environment where accuracy, attention to detail, and teamwork directly contribute to patient outcomes.
