This is a fast-paced, hands-on role that requires strong math, accuracy, and technical skills. The QA Technician ensures all raw materials and finished products meet Fresh Express quality and food safety standards.Key ResponsibilitiesQuality & Production SupportInspect all inbound raw materials for compliance to quality standardsPerform pre-op inspections and calibration of equipment/instrumentsConduct sanitation swabs to verify cleanliness and effectivenessPerform routine sampling and testing of products throughout productionIdentify, document, and communicate any out-of-spec product resultsVerify adjustments and re-check product quality after correctionsTest raw materials and document variances or quality concernsConduct truck inspections for food safety complianceVerify product traceability through product code checksTesting & EvaluationExecute flume water testing: total/free chlorine, calcium, Tsunami levelsPerform pH testing & water temperature monitoringConduct ambient temperature checks in processing areasVerify metal detector functionalityComplete oxygen testing, blend ratio checks & cut quality evaluationsMonitor package weights, seal integrity (leaker test), and finished product temperaturesPerform allergen and code date verificationCollect CQI and shelf-life samplesEnsure barcode readability and equipment calibrationDocumentationMaintain accurate written and electronic inspection recordsEnter data into computer systems as requiredPrepare reports and communicate findings to production, QA, and management teamsOther ResponsibilitiesEnforce GMP rules and food safety standardsRotate between production floor support and raw material inspectionsPerform additional duties as assignedMaintain regular and reliable attendanceRequirementsAbility to work in a fast-paced, cold food-production environmentStrong attention to detail, math skills, and accuracyComfortable performing repetitive testing and documentationMust be reliable with excellent attendanceAbility to stand, walk, and use hands for extended periodsInterested?
