What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Reporting Analyst position at Alliance Resource Group?
Alliance Resource Group is partnered with a carve-out of a global company in their search for a Financial Reporting Analyst.
This role is hybrid 1-2x per week on site in Burbank area, with some additional travel on a monthly basis.
This is not a routine accounting role. The business has historically relied on a shared services model, and this person will help bring more ownership, structure, documentation, and reporting discipline into the division. The right candidate will be energized by building process, improving handoffs, solving accounting/reporting issues, and creating a more scalable accounting foundation.
The role will work closely with the Controller, CFO, and broader finance leadership, with exposure across multiple parts of the operation, including manufacturing/plant activity, logistics, refining/processing, and commercial/sales activity.
What you’ll own / support:
- Month-end close and financial reporting
- Consolidation and reporting across a complex operating environment
- SAP data validation and accounting process improvement
- Internal controls, audit support, and documentation
- Stakeholder management across finance, operations, and shared services
- Process design and improvement as the division builds a more self-sufficient accounting model
- Future systems/process transition work
What we’re looking for:
- 7 years of relevant accounting experience
- Strong manufacturing, industrial, plant, or operational accounting background
- Experience with close, reporting, consolidations, reconciliations, and controls
- SAP experience strongly preferred
- CPA helpful, but not required if experience is strong
- Comfortable working in an environment where processes are still being built
- Strong communication skills and ability to partner with finance and non-finance stakeholders
- Process-minded, hands-on, curious, and comfortable operating with ambiguity
Salary : $135,000 - $145,000
