Position Overview
Reporting to the Controller will play a key leadership role in overseeing the company's accounting operations while helping modernize processes to support continued growth. This individual will partner with executive leadership across accounting, finance, operations, land development, construction, and sales to provide timely financial information and support strategic business decisions.
The ideal candidate enjoys working in a hands-on environment where they can lead a team, improve processes, and contribute beyond traditional accounting responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process
- Prepare accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Oversee general ledger, account reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Strengthen internal controls and improve accounting policies and procedures
- Partner with operations to support land development, construction, and inventory accounting
- Manage cash flow reporting and assist with budgeting and forecasting
- Coordinate annual audits and tax compliance with external CPA firm
- Lead process improvement initiatives and identify opportunities for automation
- Assist with ERP enhancements and systems improvements as the company continues to grow
- Support executive leadership with financial analysis and special projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA strongly preferred
- 5 years of progressive accounting experience
- Experience within homebuilding, real estate development, construction, manufacturing, or project-based industries is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- ERP experience and advanced Excel skills
- Hands-on mentality with a continuous improvement mindset

Salary : $120,000 - $135,000
