Studios Supervisor - Job Description
Classification // Full-time, Exempt
Reports to // Director of Facilities
Location and Schedule // South Oxford Space (138 South Oxford St, Brooklyn, NY 11217),
Spaces@520 (520 8th Ave, New York, NY 10018)
Standard Work Schedule: 9am - 5pm, Monday - Friday, providing on-site management at both
Studios facilities. Alternate schedules possible with a 40hr on-site expectation

Administrative Manager, Studio Bookings Manager, Studio Rental Associates, ArtsFMS Finance
Team
Compensation // $80,000 annually. Employer-provided benefits including health, dental and
vision.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
Provide primary support for SOR part-time staff (Studio Rental Associates, Custodians,
Building Attendants):
● Serve as the primary supervisor and day-to-day point of contact for Studio Rental
Associates, Building Attendants, and Custodians, providing regular feedback and
support.
● Communicate workplace policies, procedural changes, and staff expectations clearly
and consistently to the part-time team.
● Partner with the Director of People and Culture on employee relations matters,
including performance concerns, workplace conflicts, accommodations, and
disciplinary actions as appropriate.
● Proactively monitor part-time staffing needs, identify hiring needs early, and coordinate
recruitment and hiring with the Director of People and Culture.
● Lead training, onboarding, and ongoing performance support to facilitate best in class
customer interactions
● Create and maintain schedules for all part-time staff and coordinate coverage as
staffing needs change.
● Review and approve biweekly timesheets and make necessary corrections in the Time
and Labor Management System (currently SwipeClock).
● Work closely with the Internal Operations team to track Sexual Harassment Prevention
Training and ensure all part-time staff complete it annually and new hires complete it
within their first 30 days.
Facilitate successful culture of member service, facility function, and staff satisfaction:
● Collaborate with Director of People and Culture and Director of Facilities around staff
culture, feedback, growth opportunities, and system optimization
● Conduct annual 360 Performance Reviews of part-time staff
● Proactively identify opportunities for collaboration and knowledge sharing between part
time and full time staff
● As necessary, collaborate with leadership on disciplinary actions, performance issues,
and training
Provide primary training on systems for the Studio Rental Associate team:
● Collaborate with Director of Facilities in creating and implementing training on SOR
systems and policies for SRA team
● Assist Director of Facilities and Studio Bookings Manager in monitoring SRA
performance as it relates to booking systems and determine if/when retraining is
necessary
Support physical plant management at South Oxford Space and Spaces @ 520:
● Direct and ensure performance of Custodians and both locations
● Track supply inventory and place replenishment orders as needed
● Ensure daily cleanliness of studios, bathrooms, and common areas
● Flag maintenance issues immediately to Director of Facilities
● Maintain relationships with core GFP contacts (Building Management,
Repair/Maintenance personnel) and key individual vendors (independent
contractors/technicians) to support physical plant maintenance
● Assist Director of Facilities with major systems vendor relationships (HVAC / plumbing /
electrical / etc.) as needed
● Identify maintenance/repair issues as they arise, assist Director of Facilities in
resolution
● Identify possible upgrades, assist Director of Facilities in execution
● Assist Director of Facilities with major systems vendor relationships (HVAC / plumbing /
electrical / elevator repair)
