Industrial Laundry Equipment Commissioning Technician

Your work ensures fast, accurate installations and high-quality repairs that protect uptime and profitability for our customers.

What You’ll Tackle

• Commission new commercial washers and dryers to spec—mount, level, connect, and verify safe operation.
• Diagnose electrical/mechanical faults; repair and test for proper functionality.
• Guide customers on use, care, and routine maintenance after installs or service.
• Complete preventive maintenance tasks and determine parts repair vs. replacement.
• Research, source, and order parts; verify accuracy against work orders and timelines.
• Document work performed with clear, complete service reports; log expenses promptly.
• Maintain organized inventory in your assigned company vehicle.
• Travel within territory for scheduled and emergency calls; respond to urgent issues as assigned by the Service Manager.
• Escalate complex problems appropriately and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Support additional department activities to keep operations efficient.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years of experience in commercial/military/industrial/manufacturing equipment repair preferred; equivalent training considered.
• Knowledge of single‑phase electrical power required.
• Comfort with phone and email/ticketing-based customer support preferred.

Technical & Professional Skills

• Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting proficiency; able to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings.
• Strong organization and attention to detail; able to self-prioritize and hit deadlines.
• Professional communication with customers and teammates, written and verbal.
• PC skills in Outlook, Word, and Excel (preferred).
• Adaptability and resilience amid shifting priorities.
• Self-directed with strong initiative and follow-through.

Travel

• Territory-based travel with some overnight stays.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Frequent standing, walking, kneeling, squatting, stooping, bending, climbing, and dexterity-intensive tasks.
• Regularly lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs; assistive equipment available for heavier loads.
• Requires speaking, hearing, and hand use for tools/controls; includes periods of computer work with close vision and focus changes.
• Valid driver’s license and clean MVR required; company vehicle may be provided.
