Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Cabinet Sander/Hardware Assembler to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a passion for quality craftsmanship. As a Sander, you will need to have an eye for preparing cabinetry and components to accept finish. In the hardware department, you will be responsible for final assembly of finished components. Doors, drawers, glides, hinges, inserts etc. This role requires physical stamina and the ability to work in various environments. Any experience in hardware or white wood sanding would be ideal but not required, this will be a floating position and will need to help out in various areas of the cabinet manufacturing process.
Responsibilities
- Sand cabinets and components to prepare for applied finishes
- Mask off cabinet interiors in preparation for finishing
- Restore and repair existing cabinetry as needed, enhancing their appearance and functionality.
- Help in hardware/final assembly of cabinetry.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Perform heavy lifting as required to move materials and finished products.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols on construction sites.
Experience
- Previous experience in cabinet sanding or hardware/final assembly is preferred.
- Familiarity with cabinet manufacturing environments is beneficial.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
- Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on quality craftsmanship is essential.
