What are the responsibilities and job description for the Network Administrator position at Alliance Credit Union?
This is an in-office position located in Lubbock, Texas.
Role
To support the network hardware and services necessary to maintain the security and efficiency of the organization’s information systems.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Procure, implement, maintain, and support the organization’s network infrastructure, including on-premises firewalls, routers, switches, and wireless access points, as well as AWS networking services
- Maintain and continually improve network and data security practices and controls. Perform all responsibilities with the highest regard for the security of the organization and its members, employees, and data
- Maintain a highly-available and fault-tolerant network infrastructure
- Maintain the physical security, functionality, and tidiness of spaces that house network infrastructure hardware
- Document processes and changes in a detailed and uniform fashion. Follow established procedures for system configuration and documentation. Develop best practices and documentation thereof regarding the organization’s network infrastructure
- Stay abreast of new technologies and industry shifts in standard solutions and best practices; evaluate and implement such technologies and standards when beneficial to the organization
- Maintain relationships with networking solutions vendors
- Complete and/or manage special projects as assigned by the Chief Information Officer
