About the Role:
As an eSource Developer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining electronic source data capture systems that support clinical trials and research initiatives. Your work will ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of clinical data collected electronically, facilitating efficient data management and regulatory compliance. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including clinical operations, data management, and quality assurance to translate complex requirements into robust technical solutions. This role demands a deep understanding of clinical data standards and regulatory guidelines to build systems that meet industry best practices. Minimum Qualifications:
- Two years of clinical research experience is required, with a preference for those who have additional CRC experience.
- Proven experience in software development, preferably in clinical or healthcare environments.
- Strong knowledge of electronic data capture (EDC) systems and clinical data standards such as CDISC.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements including FDA 21 CFR Part 11 and Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python and experience with database management.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with eSource platforms or clinical trial management systems (CTMS).
- Knowledge of cloud computing environments and deployment (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Certification in clinical data management or related fields (e.g., CCDM, PMP).
- Experience with Agile development methodologies and DevOps practices.
- Strong understanding of data security and privacy regulations such as HIPAA.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and deploy eSource applications and tools that capture clinical trial data electronically.
- Collaborate with clinical and data management teams to gather and analyze system requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Maintain and enhance existing eSource systems to improve functionality, performance, and user experience.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as FDA 21 CFR Part 11 and GCP guidelines through rigorous validation and documentation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to eSource platforms, providing timely support to end users.
- Participate in code reviews, system audits, and quality assurance activities to uphold software quality and data integrity.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve eSource development practices.
