Currently: 7 hours per day, 182 days per year
Location: Currently at Alliance Intermediate School
Reports to: Building Principal
Qualifications:
- High school education or equivalent
- Ohio Department of Education - Education Aide Certificate
- Successful passage of the Parapro Assessment OR equivalent of at least 2 (two) years of college credit
- Confidentiality

- Cooperate and get along well with others
- Work as a member of a team
- Ability to take directions
- Previous experience with children in a learning environment
- Efficient typing and computer skill
Basic Responsibilities include the following, but are not limited to the following:
- Supervise the students who have been assigned to Climate Classroom
- Distribute assignments from the teachers to the students
- Assist the students as needed with their course work
- Return assignments to the teacher
- Maintain complete records, on a daily basis, of all students assigned to the Climate Classroom
- Provide books and reference material to insure completion of academic work
- Understand and maintain the academic and behavioral standards set for the students by the certificated staff and Climate Classroom requirements
- Coach Climate Control students in problem solving and social skills
- Provide crisis intervention assistance as directed by the Principal
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Attend in-services, meetings and/or training programs as required by Board Policy, the Superintendent or his designee.
- Perform home visits as required by the Superintendent or his designee
- Ride the bus with students as required by the Superintendent or his designee
- Monitor after school student interventions as required by the Superintendent or his designee
Additional Duties
Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Principal, Superintendent and other central office administrators as designated by the Superintendent.
