Now Hiring - Interior Designer
Alliance Architects is currently seeking an Interior Designer for a full-time position. Primary responsibilities of this position include assisting in designing and managing projects from conception to completion in space planning, design, field observation, material selection, specifications, construction techniques, building codes, and coordinating with consultants.
This position is targeted at individuals who have worked within the commercial interior design profession for 2-5 years. Successful candidates should possess a well-rounded knowledge of the design/production and construction process, including the following skills, attributes, and credentials:
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Assist with overall creative scope of projects.
· Participate in presentations and meetings with clients and prospective clients.
· Participate in all phases of design for multiple projects, collaborating with other team members and clients.
· Participate in preparation of programs and space planning concepts.
· Specify and select furniture systems.
· Select and specify color palettes.
· Knowledge of material costs and staying current on design trends.
· Preparation of construction documents and other deliverables/materials as required.
· Create 3D renderings.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
· 2-5 years’ experience in a commercial design firm.
· Graduated from an accredited interior design program.
· NCIDQ and/or state licensure preferred or pursuing NCIDQ certification.
· Proficiency in Revit.
· Additional proficiencies in Photoshop and AutoCAD.
· Knowledge of Lumion preferred.
· Sound working knowledge of building codes, building systems, and construction methods/documents.
· Team-oriented approach to project delivery, with experience coordinating the work of other team members and consultants.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
