Job Description
As a veterinary technician, you’ll play an important role in supporting our doctors and providing hands-on patient care. Your responsibilities will include:
- Triaging incoming patients and obtaining accurate patient histories
- Safely restraining pets using low-stress handling techniques
- Collecting, processing, and analyzing blood, urine, fecal, and skin samples
- Performing diagnostic imaging, including positioning and capturing radiographs
- Assisting with dental radiographs when needed
- Providing nursing care for hospitalized patients with varying levels of stability
- Administering medications and treatments as directed
- Preparing patients for surgery and assisting during procedures
- Monitoring anesthesia and surgical patients
- Communicating treatment plans and veterinary recommendations clearly with clients
- Maintaining accurate medical records and supporting efficient hospital flow
We’re looking for a veterinary technician who brings a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and genuine passion for veterinary medicine. The ideal candidate will have:
- At least 1 year of veterinary technician experience
- CVT, RVT, or LVT credentials are a plus
- Strong communication and exceptional client service skills
- Experience with laboratory sample collection and processing
- Confidence with radiology and anesthesia monitoring
- Knowledge of preventative care, surgical procedures, and day-to-day veterinary hospital operations
- A dependable, self-motivated approach and commitment to arriving prepared and on time
- Openness to constructive feedback and a desire to continuously improve your veterinary skills
