Responsibilities

• Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, pruning, and planting to ensure healthy and attractive outdoor spaces
• Install and repair irrigation systems to promote efficient watering and plant health
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely for tasks such as trimming trees, installing hardscape features, or laying sod
• Maintain equipment including lawnmowers, excavators, and other construction machinery through routine inspections and repairs
• Execute snow plowing operations during winter months to keep properties accessible and safe
• Conduct tree care activities such as trimming, pruning, and removal with proper techniques and safety procedures
• Assist with landscaping projects involving hardscape installation like patios or walkways while adhering to design specifications

Skills

• Strong mechanical knowledge for operating and maintaining various landscaping and construction equipment
• Proficiency in lawn care practices including mowing, fertilizing, aeration, and weed control
• Experience with landscape maintenance tasks such as planting, mulching, and soil preparation
• Knowledge of gardening principles and horticulture best practices to support plant health
• Ability to use hand tools (shovels, pruners) and power tools safely and effectively
• Familiarity with irrigation systems installation and troubleshooting techniques
• Understanding of tree care methods including trimming, pruning, and hazard assessment
• Experience with snow plowing equipment operation during winter seasons
• Basic construction skills for hardscape projects like patios or retaining walls
• Ability to perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance
