About the Role

Alley Pond Golf Center is looking for a friendly, reliable Bartender with at least 2 years of bartending experience to join our restaurant and bar team.

Our busy venue offers strong tip potential and opportunities to serve restaurant guests, golfers, and private group events. The ideal candidate can prepare drinks consistently, provide welcoming service, and stay organized during busy shifts.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and provide attentive, professional bar service.
• Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, wine, and nonalcoholic beverages according to recipes and service standards.
• Take food and beverage orders and coordinate with servers and kitchen staff.
• Recommend drinks based on guest preferences and answer menu questions.
• Follow responsible alcohol service procedures, including verifying age and identification and addressing signs of intoxication appropriately.
• Process orders and payments accurately using the POS system.
• Keep the bar, equipment, glassware, and service areas clean and organized.
• Prepare garnishes, restock supplies, and complete opening and closing duties.
• Monitor inventory and communicate low stock or supply needs to management.
• Support bar service for corporate outings, private parties, and group events.
• Work closely with management and teammates to keep service running smoothly.
• Follow restaurant policies, sanitation procedures, and food safety standards.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years of bartending experience is required.
• Knowledge of classic cocktails, common spirits, beer, wine, and standard drink preparation.
• Ability to prepare drinks accurately and efficiently while managing multiple orders.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Professional presentation and good personal hygiene.
• Responsible, punctual, and dependable.
• Experience using POS systems and handling payments.
• Ability to stay organized and maintain a clean workstation during busy service.
• A team-oriented attitude and willingness to assist with restaurant service when needed.
• Private event or banquet bartending experience is a plus.

Experience

• Bartending: 2 years minimum (Required)

Language

• English: Required for communicating with guests and teammates.

Shift Availability

• Day shift: Preferred.
• Night shift: Preferred.
• Weekend and holiday availability: Preferred.

Ability to Commute

• Ability to reliably commute to Douglaston, NY 11362: Required.
