We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Porter to join our facilities maintenance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of our commercial and residential spaces. Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, lobbies, hallways, and other common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers.
• Handle chemical agents safely by following established chemical handling safety procedures to ensure proper sanitation and avoid hazards.
• Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling tasks when moving furniture, supplies, or cleaning equipment, always adhering to safe lifting practices.
• Maintain facilities by performing routine custodial duties including trash removal, restocking supplies, and minor repairs as needed.
• Support building maintenance activities such as painting touch-ups or light repairs to uphold the facility’s appearance and safety standards.
• Operate cleaning equipment efficiently while ensuring proper maintenance and safety protocol adherence.
• Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to requests from staff or visitors for assistance or cleaning needs.

Qualifications

• Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial, industrial, or residential settings.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and custodial equipment operation including floor buffers and cleaning tools.
• Familiarity with chemical agent handling safety procedures and proper use of cleaning chemicals.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting while following safe lifting practices.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Excellent communication skills with a customer service-oriented mindset.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
