Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in general maintenance work within commercial buildings or similar environments.
- Basic knowledge and hands-on experience in janitorial duties, masonry, carpentry, plumbing, and landscaping.
- Ability to safely operate heavy equipment relevant to maintenance tasks.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification or training in specific trades such as plumbing, carpentry, or heavy equipment operation preferred.
- Experience with preventive maintenance programs and safety compliance standards.
- Familiarity with commercial building systems such as HVAC, electrical, or security systems.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, or maintenance documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine janitorial duties such as cleaning, waste removal, and maintaining sanitary conditions in commercial buildings.
- Conduct masonry and carpentry repairs including patching walls, fixing doors, and constructing or repairing fixtures as needed.
- Carry out plumbing maintenance and repairs including fixing leaks, unclogging drains, and ensuring proper functioning of water systems.
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment safely for tasks such as groundskeeping, snow removal, or material transport.
- Inspect building systems and infrastructure regularly to identify maintenance needs and report or address issues promptly.
- Assist with general maintenance tasks to support building operations and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- General Maintenance and troubleshooting on HVAC systems
- Able to use tools of trade; ohmmeter, ampmeter, Freon gauges used to troubleshoot equipment
- Able to lift heavy loads safely
- Ladder safety, maintenance uses ladders for bulb changing and working on ceilings and above ceilings
- Must have driver’s license and clean records for use of hospital truck; used to pick up supplies, trips to other hospitals
- Capable to take over department in the absence of director
- Will be on rotating 24hr on call
- Able to move offices when needed
