About the Role:

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Wellness Kidmed plays a critical role in delivering comprehensive pediatric healthcare services focused on promoting wellness and preventive care for children. This position involves collaborating closely with pediatricians, healthcare teams, and families to ensure that each child receives personalized and compassionate care tailored to their developmental needs. The LPN will be responsible for conducting health assessments, administering medications and immunizations, and providing education to families on health maintenance and disease prevention. By maintaining accurate medical records and monitoring patient progress, the LPN contributes to the overall effectiveness and quality of the wellness program. Ultimately, this role supports the mission of fostering healthy growth and development in children within a supportive and nurturing clinical environment across the United States.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current and valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of practice within the United States.
• Completion of an accredited practical nursing program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Experience working with pediatric patients in a clinical or healthcare setting.
• Strong understanding of pediatric health and wellness principles.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in pediatric wellness or preventive care programs.
• Certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) system, Athena, preferred.
• Additional training or coursework in child development or family health education.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine health screenings and assessments for pediatric patients, including vital signs and developmental milestones.
• Administer prescribed medications, immunizations, and treatments in accordance with established protocols and physician orders.
• Educate patients and their families on wellness strategies, nutrition, hygiene, and preventive healthcare practices.
• Maintain detailed and accurate patient records, documenting care provided and any changes in patient condition.
• Collaborate with pediatric healthcare providers to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Assist in coordinating follow-up appointments and referrals to specialists as needed.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, safety standards, and infection control procedures.
• Provide emotional support and guidance to children and families to promote a positive healthcare experience.
