What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time Bookstore Assistant position at Allen Community College?
RESPONSIBILITIES: The Bookstore Assistant is responsible for assisting the Manager with customer
service, merchandising, and inventory management of supplies for retail cash and
charge activities. The Assistant assists with coordinating activities for
merchandising, visual displays, advertising, special events and occasional website
maintenance and shipping of books and merchandise. The Assistant is expected
to help with the merchandise table at games and events throughout the year.
QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma, or G.E.D, required. Previous retail experience helpful.
Good computer skills. Must be able to lift and stack objects up to 25-50 pounds
occasionally and frequently exert 20-30 pounds of force to lift, carry, push and
pull or otherwise move objects. Must be able to climb on ladders.
LOCATION: Iola, Kansas Campus
SALARY: $15.00 per hour starting. The successful candidate will be subject to a background
check.
