9 Month Contract Full-time Position (renewable contract position)
RESPONSIBILITIES: The Education Instructor at Allen Community College is responsible for teaching
and supporting students preparing for careers in education through high-quality
instruction, curriculum development, and student mentoring. The instructor delivers
courses aligned with transfer and licensure pathways, assesses student learning
outcomes, and maintains an engaging, inclusive classroom environment that
promotes academic success. Responsibilities include advising students, participating
in program assessment, collaborating with faculty and K–12 partners, and
contributing to departmental and institutional initiatives. The instructor is also
expected to maintain regular office hours, support student retention efforts, and
actively participate in college service, professional development, and community
engagement consistent with the mission of Allen Community College.
QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree in education or a related field OR a master’s degree in another field
with a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in education is required. Experience in
college teaching is preferred.
LOCATION: Iola Campus office location. On-campus hours are required of the position.
SALARY: Salary range $44,437-62,039; based on education and experience. An excellent
benefits package is available.
STARTING DATE: August 2026
