What You’ll Do

Nursing Responsibilities:

• Uses critical thinking skills in making decisions regarding patient care which includes knowledge and integration of relevant standards and resources
• Independently triage patients on the phone, through the patient portal, and utilizing protocols, guidelines and standards set by Allegro Pediatrics.
• Provide patient care within scope of practice, including services supported by medically approved protocols, with/without provider encounter such as medication administration, and lab procedures
• Obtain patient x-rays after appropriate training performed at Allegro
• Administer medications and vaccines; Perform phlebotomy and other lab processes
• Promote atmosphere of patient care and customer service excellence, respecting patient rights, confidentiality, diversity, and developmental needs
• Other duties assigned as delegated
  
  

Inspire Learning & Build Confidence

• Lead engaging onboarding experiences for new Registered Nurses, Medical Assistants and other clinical staff
• Provide ongoing education, retraining, and skill development for current staff
• Adapt training approaches to meet diverse learning styles
• Teach Basic Life Support (BLS) to our staff
  
  

Mentor & Develop Future Talent

• Partner with Registered Nurses and other clinical roles to support their growth and success
• Serve as a mentor and role model, fostering confidence and clinical excellence
• Help guide new team members through a successful transition into their role
  
  

Collaborate & Make an Impact

• Partner with the Staff Development Team to coordinate and enhance training programs
• Work closely with clinic leaders, providers, and staff to meet evolving training needs
• Maintain strong communication across teams through email, Teams, and meetings
• Partner with Nursing schools to mentor, support, and inspire the next generation of Nursing professionals, helping shape their skills, confidence, and career pathways
  
  

Create & Innovate

• Lead and present training sessions across all clinics
• Develop, update, and maintain training materials and resources
• Ensure all training reflects current policies, workflows, and system updates
• Provide EHR training and ongoing support for staff and providers
  
  

Lead with Purpose

• Foster a welcoming, inclusive, and non-judgmental learning environment
• Promote teamwork and alignment with Allegro’s mission and values
• Travel to clinic locations to provide hands-on training and support
  
  

Requirements

• Active Washington State RN license
• Current AHA BLS certification (PALS, PEARS, or ACLS accepted)
• Associate’s Degree in Nursing (Bachelor’s preferred)
• Strong clinical skills and a passion for teaching and mentoring
• Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving healthcare environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EHR systems
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between clinics
• Must be 18 years of age or older

• Pediatric experience

• Drug testing in compliance with Washington State Bill 5123 (safety-sensitive role)

• We require COVID immunization at time of hire, or as newly released
• We require flu immunizations at time of hire, or as newly released
• Various other immunization requirements that we can discuss during your interview
• All employees are currently required to wear a surgical, KN95 or N95 mask at all times while in clinic, patient facing
  
  

Work Environment/Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job the employee regularly works in an office/clinic setting, are as follows:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Prolonged periods of standing, walking and bending
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English and communicate effectively
