Are you experienced in healthcare or senior care housekeeping and ready to make a real impact? Allegria Village, a senior living community in Dearborn, is hiring a full-time Housekeeper to support a clean, safe, and dignified environment in our Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing facility.
- ️ This is not hotel housekeeping.
What You'll Be Doing:
Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, dining areas, and public spaces to strict infection control standards
Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and floor polishers
Handle and dispose of bodily fluids and biohazard materials safely, following OSHA Bloodborne Pathogen standards
Use EPA-registered cleaning agents and follow proper protocols for germicidal disinfectants
Report maintenance issues (leaky faucets, broken fixtures, etc.) to supervisors
Ensure all areas—including air vents, windows, and high-touch surfaces—are cleaned regularly
Strip, wax, and recoat floors as needed
Who We’re Looking For:
1 year of housekeeping experience in a hospital, skilled nursing, or long-term care setting (required)
Someone comfortable working in environments that may involve exposure to bodily fluids
Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and health department cleaning standards
Reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to the safety and dignity of our residents
Able to follow procedures for the safe use of chemicals and equipment
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry 50–75 lbs.
Must be able to stand, walk, bend, push, and pull throughout an 8-hour shift
Work may involve damp, dusty, or soiled environments
