Role Description The Industrial Maintenance Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Indianapolis, IN. This role is responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment, machinery, and facility systems to ensure safe and efficient operations. Daily activities include troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, completing repairs, and documenting maintenance tasks in accordance with company standards. The technician collaborates with production teams to minimize downtime, supports equipment installation and upgrades, and follows all safety and quality procedures. The role also involves monitoring equipment performance, identifying improvement opportunities, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Mechanical maintenance skills, including experience with industrial machinery, mechanical assemblies, and preventive maintenance practices.
- Basic electrical and controls skills, such as reading schematics, working with motors and sensors, and safely using electrical test equipment.
- Technical troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities to identify root causes of equipment failures and implement effective corrective actions.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment, along with safe work practices in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, equipment manuals, and maintenance work orders, with strong attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with production, engineering, and safety personnel.
- Basic computer skills for using maintenance management systems, logging work, and accessing technical documentation.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in industrial maintenance, mechanics, or related fields is preferred.
- Prior experience in manufacturing or industrial maintenance, especially in a safety- and quality-focused environment, is beneficial.
