Compression Machine Operator 1st shift

JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION TITLE: Compression Operator

DEPARTMENT: Manufacturing

REPORTS TO: Manufacturing Manager

POSITION OBJECTIVE: To operate compression machines and perform in-process verifications to assure tablet quality.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Operate tablet press machines and troubleshoot operation

· Cross train as backup for Pharmacy and Blending

· Monitor tablet quality such as hardness, thickness, weight, friability

· Clean and maintain equipment and production rooms

· Follow all cGMP requirements as detailed in SOPs

· Document all activities in Master Production Records

· Communicate any deviations to Supervisor

· Provide additional support and assistance on tasks and projects as directed by management

QUALIFICATIONS:

· High School Diploma or GED.

· Prior experience in compression operations preferred

· Ability to perform basic math, read, write.

· Must work as part of a team.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This position regularly works in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment and requires extended periods of standing, walking, bending, reaching, and performing repetitive tasks. The employee regularly works in and around manufacturing equipment and may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles and pharmaceutical powders, varying temperatures, and moderate to elevated noise levels. The employee is required to follow all cGMP, safety, and gowning requirements and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in designated areas. The position may require the employee to lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment in connection with manufacturing operations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.50 - $20.00 per hour
