Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical equipment, and building interior components to ensure optimal operation.
- Conduct repairs using hand tools, welding equipment, and electrical testing devices such as ohmmeters and schematics to troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Maintain facilities equipment including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), electrical systems, and mechanical components with precision and care.
- Execute painting projects—both maintenance painting and residential painting—to enhance the aesthetic appeal of the property.
- Assist with carpentry tasks such as repairing doors, windows, cabinetry, or framing structures as needed.
- Support plumbing system maintenance and repairs, including leak detection, pipe replacement, and fixture servicing.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure building interior maintenance meets safety standards while delivering excellent customer service to residents and visitors.
- Follow schematics and technical manuals to diagnose issues accurately and implement effective solutions promptly.
- Lead small maintenance projects when required, demonstrating leadership qualities while ensuring tasks are completed efficiently.
Experience
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or building repair roles with a strong background in mechanical knowledge and electrical work.
- Familiarity with HVAC system repair, plumbing system maintenance, electrical equipment repair, and general building interior upkeep.
- Hands-on experience using hand tools, welding equipment, schematics reading, and troubleshooting electrical circuits with devices like ohmmeters.
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), HVAC systems (Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning), and MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations) practices.
- Ability to interpret technical diagrams and schematics for complex mechanical or electrical systems.
- Excellent communication skills in English to effectively coordinate with team members and assist residents or clients when needed.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a focus on safety protocols and quality standards in maintenance tasks.
