We are seeking a Project Manager / Estimator to join a growing Special Projects Division with a well-established mechanical contractor in Houston.
This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically focused construction professional who enjoys both estimating and project management responsibilities. The role will focus on smaller to mid-sized mechanical projects, service work, renovations, tenant improvements, and special projects across a variety of commercial sectors.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for mechanical construction projects
- Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing
- Manage projects from award through closeout
- Coordinate field personnel, subcontractors, vendors, and clients
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, and progress
- Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders
- Support business development efforts and identify opportunities for repeat work
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget
Requirements:
- Experience working for a mechanical contractor
- Background in both estimating and project management preferred
- Knowledge of HVAC, piping, and plumbing systems
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Strong understanding of mechanical construction processes
- Experience managing project budgets, schedules, and client relationships
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and industry software

Salary : $120,000 - $160,000
