We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established mechanical contractor based in Queens, NY, seeking an experienced HVAC Project Manager to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a respected contractor delivering commercial projects throughout the five boroughs of New York City.
We are looking for a true all-rounder with strong experience managing HVAC projects from pre-construction through closeout, with a well-rounded background across both piping and sheet metal systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple HVAC/mechanical projects across the 5 boroughs
- Oversee projects from kickoff through completion, ensuring delivery on time and within budget
- Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, field teams, engineers, and suppliers
- Review drawings, specifications, submittals, and project schedules
- Manage procurement, RFIs, change orders, and project documentation
- Conduct site visits and support field operations as needed
- Ensure projects meet quality, safety, and performance standards
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an HVAC Project Manager within commercial construction
- Strong mechanical background with exposure to both piping and sheet metal
- Experience delivering projects in NYC preferred
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and fast-paced project environments
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, installation methods, and project controls
