We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established mechanical contractor based in Queens, NY, seeking an experienced HVAC Foreman to join their growing team. This opportunity offers the chance to work on a strong pipeline of commercial projects across the five boroughs of New York City with a respected contractor known for delivering high-quality mechanical work.
We are looking for a hands-on, well-rounded all-rounder with strong field leadership experience and a background across both piping and sheet metal systems. The ideal candidate will be comfortable leading crews, coordinating site activities, and ensuring projects are delivered safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead HVAC installation crews on commercial projects
- Coordinate day-to-day site activities and manpower requirements
- Read and interpret construction drawings and project specifications
- Oversee installation of HVAC systems, including piping and sheet metal work
- Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard
- Coordinate with Project Managers, subcontractors, and other trades on-site
- Monitor project progress and help maintain schedules
- Identify and resolve field issues as they arise
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an HVAC Foreman within commercial construction
- Strong background in both piping and sheet metal systems
- Experience leading field teams on commercial mechanical projects
- Ability to read blueprints and coordinate installations
- NYC project experience preferred
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- OSHA certifications and relevant trade qualifications are a plus
