Assisting walk-in customers with product needs and questions. Processing cash and charge sales for material pick up. Answering general phone calls and e-mails. Utilize the showroom to help customers make product selections. This role is vital due to the first impression our customer receives when coming to Allegheny Millwork & Lumber.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Answering general phone calls and e-mails
- Processing cash and charge sales for walk-in traffic
- Scheduling deliveries
- Special order processing
- Always prospect for new business opportunities
- Continue to expand on product knowledge
- Stocking shelves and maintaining the showroom
Qualifications / Skills
- General knowledge of construction and /or building supply industry
- Familiarity with POS (point of sale) systems and the ability to learn new technologies
- Excellent communication skills
- Cheerful working attitude
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- Ability to upsell
- Ability to stand most of the day and lift 50lb.
