Job Description :
GENERAL OVERVIEW:
Assists anesthesia personnel with the preparation and insertion of specialized invasive monitoring equipment utilized during peri-operative procedures.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides technical support to anesthesia personnel during the preparation and insertion of specialized invasive monitoring equipment. (30%)
- Ensures that all anesthetizing locations are in a state of readiness. (30%)
- Maintain proper standards of cleanliness and organization of the Anesthesia workroom. (15%)
- Manages equipment, supplies, and medication according to established guidelines to maintain safe, efficient, and cost effective programs. (15%)
- Participates in hospital, division, and department activities. (10%)
- Performs other duties as assigned or required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum
Must meet one of the following qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED and 1 year of experience as an Anesthesia Technician or Emergency/Medical or related experience
- Graduate from an accredited Anesthesia Tech school or program
- CPR – American Heart Association
Preferred
- ASATT Certified Anesthesia Technician (Cer.A.T.) or ASATT Certified Anesthesia Technologist (Cer.A.T.T.)
