- Conducts outreach to the residents of Allegheny County through participation in Health Fairs, Community Health Education Events, and specific outreach events.
- Assists in preparing exhibits and posters for presentation at conventions, conferences, and other public displays.
- Searches designated sources for health information and prepares copy for bulletins, periodic reports, and educational pamphlets.
- Prepares preliminary news releases and special features on assigned health topics.
- Assists in planning and participating in workshops, institutions, forums, and discussion groups to promote public health and health education.
- Prepares and delivers talks on assigned health topics and on the objectives and services of the Health Department to interested groups.
- Assists community groups in analyzing their health education problems.
- Responds to Public Health emergencies as assigned by the Health Department.
- Performs other duties as required or requested.
