Responsibilities

• Develop and implement tailored curricula that meet the individual needs of students with disabilities, including those requiring deaf education and behavioral therapy.
• Design and execute detailed lesson plans aligned with IEP (Individualized Education Program) goals, ensuring progress in literacy, math, and other core subjects.
• Conduct comprehensive student assessments to monitor progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive behavior management techniques and crisis intervention when necessary.
• Collaborate closely with colleagues, therapists, parents, and caregivers to coordinate educational plans and communicate student progress regularly.
• Utilize applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques and other evidence-based methods to support students with autism spectrum disorder.
• Maintain accurate documentation of student development, IEP updates, behavioral incidents, and instructional activities in compliance with school policies.

Qualifications

• Valid teaching certification in special education or related field; experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, and student assessment.
• Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management strategies, and behavioral therapy techniques.
• Experience working with children across early childhood education levels, including preschool settings or private schools.
• Familiarity with teaching students with autism spectrum disorder and implementing applied behavior analysis (ABA).
• Excellent communication skills for effective parent-teacher collaboration and team coordination.
• Ability to handle crisis situations calmly while applying appropriate intervention methods; experience in crisis intervention is a plus.
• Passion for mentoring young learners and supporting their social-emotional growth through literacy education, math instruction, Montessori methods or early childhood education practices.
