CUSTODIAN - PART TIME - ELEMENTARY
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Custodial duties include all phases of commercial cleaning
- Setup and tear down of various school spaces (cafeteria, gymnasium, classrooms, etc.)
- Light maintenance duties and security responsibilities throughout the building.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Ability to work effectively with staff, students, and parents
- Knowledge of basic cleaning and disinfecting procedures
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and follow directions
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. The employee must be able to push items of 50 lbs., such as pushing equipment, or moving/rearranging furniture. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Monday through Friday, 5 Hours/Day (6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.), 25 Hours/Week, 52 Weeks/Year. Occasional extra work hours are available during week and/or weekend.
BENEFITS: Paid time off, paid holidays, shoe allowance (prorated on hours worked), and excellent retirement benefits through the Michigan Public School Employees' Retirement Program. This position does not offer health benefits.
SALARY: Per Custodial Handbook Salary Schedule
LOCATION: Allegan Elementary School
