About the Role
The Senior Maximo Transit Consultant is a senior delivery and capability leadership role within COSOL’s Americas Professional Services team, focused on public transit agencies and fleet-intensive operations. It is designed for highly experienced Maximo specialists with a strong background in bus transit who want to apply their skills to deliver outstanding client value, while coaching and mentoring others to uplift capability.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, configuration, and deployment of IBM Maximo solutions for transit agencies, addressing bus fleet maintenance, work and asset management, parts inventory, and regulatory compliance.
- Provide strategic advice on transit asset management optimisation, including fleet lifecycle, preventive maintenance programs, and state-of-good-repair objectives through an integrated asset management information ecosystem.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, including engagement with executive stakeholders to ensure alignment and buy-in.
- Mentor and coach junior and mid-level consultants in technical delivery, solution design, and consulting excellence.
- Align regional delivery practices with global methodologies and standards.
- Provide thought leadership on how to best architect and leverage Maximo to deliver operational reliability, fleet availability, and strategic outcomes for transit operations.
- Strong understanding of asset management concepts, transit industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., FTA Transit Asset Management requirements), and integration with other systems.
- Familiarity with transit maintenance operations, including bus fleet upkeep, garage and facility management, parts and inventory control, and work order lifecycle management.
- Exposure to transit-specific integrations and data sources (e.g., fleet telematics, fuel management, EAM-to-ERP and GIS interfaces) is an advantage.
- Proven ability to mentor and coach others in both technical and consulting skills.
- Vendor certifications or relevant industry qualifications highly regarded.
