Duties
- Operate tow trucks to safely transport vehicles to designated locations.
- Perform automotive diagnostics and minor repairs as needed during towing operations.
- Load and unload vehicles using appropriate equipment and techniques.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed and vehicle conditions.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns professionally.
- Manage conflicts effectively, ensuring a positive experience for customers during stressful situations.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on tow trucks to ensure optimal performance.
- Utilize forklift equipment when necessary for loading or unloading vehicles.
Skills
- Strong automotive diagnostics abilities to identify vehicle issues quickly.
- Comprehensive mechanical knowledge related to vehicle systems and repairs.
- Proficiency in driving manual transmission vehicles, as well as commercial driving experience.
- Experience with automotive repair techniques and practices is preferred.
- Excellent conflict management skills to handle challenging situations with clients effectively.
- Familiarity with flatbed tow truck operations and safety protocols.
- Previous mechanic experience is a plus, enhancing the ability to assist customers on-site.
- Strong driving skills with a clean driving record, ensuring safe transportation of vehicles.
