Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Daycare Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and educational environment for children in our care. This role involves engaging with infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children, fostering their development through structured activities and play. The Daycare Teacher will work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure a safe and stimulating atmosphere that promotes learning and growth. We are a Christian Daycare/Preschool, you will be required to sing biblical songs, pray with the kids, and teach Bible lessons.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
- Supervise children during activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Facilitate engaging learning experiences through play, arts and crafts, music, and storytelling.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
- Observe and assess children's development, providing feedback to parents as needed.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive teaching approach that meets the diverse needs of all children in the program.
- Support children with special needs by adapting activities and providing individualized attention as required.
Skills
- Proven experience in caregiving or nannying, particularly in a daycare setting.
- Strong background in infant care, toddler care, and preschool education.
- Familiarity with early childhood education principles and practices.
- Ability to create engaging classroom activities that promote learning through play.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with children of all ages.
- Experience or knowledge in special education is a plus but not required.
