Arrow Material Handling is the leading wholesale manufacturer of material-handling attachments and the supplier of aftermarket parts for agricultural, construction, and industrial equipment in North America, known for its customer-focused service and expertise.

Summary

Responsible for operating machine tools to produce precision metal parts. Produces small batches or large quantities of metal parts. Ensure products meet precise specifications. With supervision, prepares product for paint or powder coat operations in accordance with customer requirements.

• Operates machine tools such as saws, and grinders to produce metal parts.
• Reviews electronic or written blueprints or specifications for a job.
• Prepares items such as buckets, frames, and tree sheers for finishing operations to include cleaning, masking, and sanding as required.
• Ensures items are identified with work order number prior to painting or powder coating.
• Complies with all safety and hazardous material procedures, wears protective equipment as required to meet or exceed OSHA and company requirements.
• Selects tools and materials for the job.
• Changes out tooling and saw blades as needed.
• Ensures workpiece is properly lubricated and/or cooled.
• Replaces dull cutting tools.
• Checks accuracy of work against blueprints and specifications.
• Complies with all safety and hazardous material procedures, wears protective equipment as required to meet or exceed OSHA and company requirements.
• Maintains all aspects of work place cleanliness and organization.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
• Complies with the requirements of the company’s ISO 9001 Quality Management System (when required).

• Regular manual dexterity/coordination: hand/eye movements, motor control.
• Ability to sit, stand, climb, bend and kneel on a regular basis.
• Regular visual effort: concentrated reading of documentation or close viewing of computer displays.
• Able to push, pull and lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Able to push, pull and lift up to 75 lbs. on an occasional basis.

• Employee may be exposed to sharp (cutting) tools on a regular basis.
• Employee may be exposed to hazardous substances including a variety of petroleum- based products, cleaning solvents, etc. on a regular basis

• Proven experience particularly within the agriculture and construction parts sectors, preferred.

• Basic computer knowledge including e-mail, Word, and Excel software.
