Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Experienced Medical Biller role based in Peachtree City, GA. The Medical Biller will handle daily billing operations, including generating and submitting claims to insurance carriers, Medicaid, and other payers, and ensuring timely payment posting. Responsibilities include reviewing patient accounts, resolving denials, following up on outstanding claims, and performing accurate coding using ICD-10 guidelines. The role also involves verifying insurance coverage, coordinating with clinical and front-desk teams, maintaining detailed billing records, and responding to billing inquiries in a professional and confidential manner.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Medical Terminology and ability to interpret clinical documentation for billing purposes.
- Hands-on experience working with ICD-10 coding and applying appropriate codes for pediatric services.
- Proficiency in managing Insurance claims, including commercial payers and Medicaid, billing processes.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve denials, rework claims, and reduce accounts receivable days.
- Previous experience as a medical biller in a pediatric or outpatient setting preferred.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical billing software.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage high claim volumes accurately.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with clinical and administrative teams.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant billing certification or coursework is a plus.
