Job Title: Early Childhood Aide
Job Description
The Early Childhood School Aide provides support to teachers and students during the school day, with a primary focus on assisting with early childhood lunch routines. The aide helps create a safe, caring, and organized environment for young learners while promoting independence and positive habits. This position will be Monday through Friday 10 AM- 2 PM.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist with setting up, supervising, and cleaning up during Early Childhood lunch periods.
- Support children with opening food items, encouraging healthy eating habits, and reinforcing table manners.
- Monitor and guide students to ensure safety and a positive lunchtime environment.
- Provide support for transitions before and after lunch, including restroom breaks and preparing students for rest or class activities.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to maintain consistent routines and classroom expectations.
- Assist with light classroom support as needed (organizing materials, helping with activities, tidying spaces).
- Assist with workroom support (laminating, copying, checking supplies, etc.)
- Promote respect, kindness, and responsibility in all student interactions.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with young children in a school, childcare, or camp setting preferred.
- Patient, caring, and attentive to the needs of young learners.
- Ability to follow teacher direction and work as part of a collaborative team.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain confidentiality.
