Duties
- Supervise children during play, learning activities, meals, and rest periods to ensure safety and well-being.
- Plan and facilitate developmentally appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth.
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress, behavior, and daily experiences.
- Follow all mandated reporting laws to report any concerns related to child safety or well-being promptly.
- Assist with diapering, feeding, and basic health needs of infants and toddlers as required.
- Support classroom management strategies to foster positive behavior and respectful interactions among children.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or similar settings is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR (including Pediatric First Aid) is required; ongoing training is encouraged.
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus.
- Strong communication skills for effective parent engagement and teamwork.
- Ability to manage classroom behavior with patience and positive reinforcement techniques.
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws and child safety protocols.
