Employee Relations Specialist
The Employee Relations Specialist supports a positive workplace culture by addressing employee relations matters while also coordinating programs that enhance employee growth and development. This role serves as a key resource for managers and employees by providing guidance on workplace concerns, facilitating investigations and conflict resolution, and supporting talent development initiatives.
Employee Relations Specialist Job Details
- Provide guidance to employees and managers on workplace issues, policies, and best practices.
- Conduct or support workplace investigations involving complaints such as harassment, policy violations, or interpersonal conflicts.
- Document investigations, findings, and recommendations while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with employment laws.
- Partner with managers to address performance concerns and corrective action processes.
- Create meaningful ways of tracking and organizing reported incidents.
- Identify trends in employee relations matters and recommend proactive solutions to improve workplace culture and reduce risk of recurrence.
- Assist in creating and maintaining HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook guidelines.
- Assist with internal communications related to HR programs and policies.
- Support HR initiatives related to employee engagement, retention, and development.
Employee Relations Specialist Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in managing employee relations issues.
- Knowledge of employment laws, workplace investigations, and HR best practices.
- Experience working with HRIS and/or learning systems.
- Strong interpersonal, conflict resolution, and communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Willing to submit to a pre-employment background check & drug screening.
- Willing to work in a fast-paced environment with changing needs & priorities.
- Roll-up your sleeve attitude.
Working Conditions
- Full Time in office/cubicle work setting.
- Fast paced work environment.
Schedule
- Monday – Friday with occasional off schedule support for urgent matters.
