The Opportunity:
We are seeking a hands-on and dynamic Marketing Coordinator to support our Field Marketing efforts and help bring our brand to life across rural communities. This role is responsible for executing grassroots marketing programs that drive awareness, leads, and local engagement—supporting everything from community events and sponsorships to out-of-home (OOH) placement and neighborhood activations. This is a highly tactical role designed for someone who enjoys being in the field, building local relationships, and turning strategy into action. You’ll work closely with the Senior Director of Marketing to ensure campaigns are locally relevant, well-executed, and measurable.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in marketing and sales events, experiential marketing campaigns, and social media.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the on-the-ground brand ambassador in several local counties in VA.
- Plan, organize, and execute local field marketing consumer events with the goal of driving brand awareness and residential sales.
- Provide marketing support to field sales representatives, including the creation and delivery of marketing collateral and coordinating promotional activities (sell sheets, signage, swag, tents, etc.).
- Oversee inventory management of promotional items, giveaways, and apparel.
- Document what is working locally and share insights with Senior Director of Marketing and provide basic reporting on event effectiveness.
- Coordinate sponsorship opportunities with schools, sports teams, and community organizations.
- Build and maintain relationships with local partners and venue owners.
- Research OOH inventory (billboards, posters, yard signs, banners, etc.).
- Support placement logistics and creative deployment.
- Support county activation and related marketing campaign execution.
- Support direct mail drops, field distribution, and door hanger programs.
- Work with vendors to implement marketing campaigns. This includes print, digital, and events.
- Work cross-functionally to align field efforts with digital and direct mail campaigns
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and effective completion.
- Complete ad-hoc projects as assigned by leadership.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 2-4 years of experience in marketing and sales events, experiential marketing, and lead generation campaigns.
- Energetic, people-person with an outgoing personality. Comfortable in large group and public settings.
- Strong organizational and detailed oriented skills.
- A demonstrated ability to work independently, make sound decisions when required, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and align with the company’s core values and mission.
- Ability to travel in-state on a regular basis and out-of-state on an as-needed basis.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to pass a pre-employment background check.
