What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping and Receiving Forklift Operator - 30-40 hours position at All Packs (All packaging Solutions)?
Key Responsibilities
- Dock Operations: Safely operate propane-powered sit-down forklifts to load and unload trailers across 4 loading docks equipped with levelers.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily pre-trip inspections and safely handle propane tank swaps as required.
- Material Handling: Move, stack, and stage finished goods and raw materials efficiently to maintain a clear and organized dock flow.
- Safety & Efficiency: Maintain a high pace while strictly adhering to all safety protocols in a high-traffic environment.
- Team Collaboration: Take direction well from the Dock Manager and work closely with the shipping team to meet daily departure schedules.
Qualifications
- Experience: 2 years of recent, continuous forklift experience, specifically on propane-powered equipment.
- Skills: Proven ability to navigate tight spaces and busy dock areas safely and efficiently.
- Reliability: Must be dependable, have a strong work ethic, and follow instructions accurately.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to sit for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in a warehouse environment with fluctuating temperatures.
Pay: From $16.50 per hour
