A tertiary/quaternary adult and pediatric hospital campus in Denver, CO is seeking an Operating Room Nurse Manager to lead its Main Operating Room. The campus — the only combined tertiary/quaternary adult and pediatric hospital in the region — is home to a cancer program including a blood cancer institute, a solid organ transplant program, and complex orthopedics.
The role. Reporting through hospital leadership, the OR Nurse Manager holds full oversight of the Main Operating Room, including management of human, fiscal, and operational resources. This leader partners closely with surgeons to foster strong physician relationships and effective communication with surgical office staff, while building collaborative ties with facility partners such as Infection Prevention, Quality, Risk Management, Instrument Processing, and Supply Chain. The manager analyzes OR metrics to drive department efficiency and productivity, manages performance expectations and conducts reviews for all OR personnel, and ensures ongoing compliance with regulatory agencies including The Joint Commission.
What we're looking for.
- Current licensure in the state of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multistate Registered Nurse license
- Current BLS certification
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing, required
- At least two years previous experience in a charge, supervisory, or management position
- At least two years clinical experience in specialty required
- Recent acute care experience is preferred; strong candidates from Surgery Centers will be considered
- Comprehensive knowledge of perioperative services
Schedule. Full-time, day shift with rotating weekends; administrative hours Monday–Friday with on-call availability 24/7 for emergencies only.
Compensation. $94,078 - $142,147 per year plus Sign-on bonus available
