As a Cashier, you will play a key role in creating a positive shopping experience by accurately handling transactions and ensuring customers leave satisfied.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service
- Accurately handle cash, credit/debit, EBT, and return transactions using a POS system
- Maintain a clean, organized, and presentable checkout area
- Ensure cash drawer is balanced at the beginning and end of each shift
- Answer customer questions regarding products, prices, or store policies
- Assist with bagging and packaging customer purchases
- Stay informed about ongoing promotions, specials, and store policies
- Collaborate with team members to maintain smooth store operations
- Replenish front-end supplies (bags, receipt paper, etc.) as needed
- Follow safety, sanitation, and loss prevention procedures at all times
Requirements
- Previous cashier or customer service experience is preferred
- Ability to operate POS systems and handle transactions accurately
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic math skills and attention to detail
- Professional, courteous, and customer-focused attitude
- Ability to stand for extended periods and handle repetitive tasks
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
- Bilingual or multilingual is a plus
