Growing ophthalmology practice in Waxahachie, TX is seeking a full-time, experienced CERTIFIED OPHTHALMIC ASSISTANT (COA) or CERTIFIED OPHTHALMIC TECHNICIAN (COT) to join our family.
Job Duties include:
- Assisting doctor with patient care
- Performing technical work-ups and special testing including manual refractions, lensometry, keratometry, tonometry, visual fields, optical coherence tomography, muscle testing, pupil exams, topography
Job Requirements:
- Valid certifications and experience will be eligible for higher hourly rate.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in Ophthalmology.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus
- Reliable transportation
- Experience utilizing EMR/EHR
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Computer skills
- Enthusiastic, team-player
- Displays consistent professionalism
- High school diploma or GED
