Plant Manager – Manufacturing & Engineered Systems
Results-driven operations leader responsible for overseeing end-to-end operations, including order entry, engineering coordination, fabrication, purchasing, installation, and final delivery. This role leads cross-functional teams, drives operational strategy, manages P&L performance, improves KPIs, and ensures strong execution across safety, quality, delivery, cost, and customer satisfaction goals. Ideal candidates bring deep experience in manufacturing, engineered-to-order environments, project-based operations, material handling systems, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
· Own end-to-end operations, from order entry through final delivery, ensuring performance against safety, quality, on-time delivery, and cost objectives.
· Lead and align cross-functional teams, including engineering, fabrication, purchasing, service, and installation, to drive execution, remove barriers, and improve overall business performance.
· Establish and execute operational strategy, including capacity planning, production scheduling, resource allocation, and workforce planning to meet customer demand and business goals.
· Own financial performance, including P&L accountability, budgeting, forecasting, margin improvement, and cost control initiatives.
· Monitor and drive key performance indicators (KPIs), ensuring visibility, accountability, and timely corrective actions to improve operational efficiency, throughput, delivery performance, and profitability.
· Drive project flow and coordination from sale through engineering, fabrication, and installation, maintaining visibility into status, risks, schedules, and delivery timelines.
· Build, develop, and lead high-performing teams, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, leadership, knowledge sharing, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
· Ensure compliance with all safety standards, company policies, quality procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
· Lead hiring, employee development, coaching, succession planning, and performance management to build a strong, accountable, results-driven operations team.
· Partner with executive leadership to support strategic initiatives, growth opportunities, process improvement, organizational development, and long-term operational planning.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
· 10 years of progressive operations leadership experience in manufacturing, construction, industrial operations, or engineered systems environments, including multi-functional oversight.
· Strong experience in high-mix manufacturing, engineered-to-order (ETO), custom fabrication, or project-based operations environments.
· Solid business acumen and financial acumen, including P&L responsibility, budgeting, forecasting, cost management, and operational performance improvement.
· Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, drive organizational alignment, improve execution, and deliver measurable results across engineering, production, purchasing, service, and installation functions.
· Experience with ERP systems, MRP systems, production planning tools, reporting dashboards, and standard business software.
· Strong communication skills, problem-solving skills, decision-making ability, and hands-on leadership skills in fast-paced operational environments.
Preferred Experience
· Material handling systems, including overhead cranes, monorails, conveyors, lifting systems, and related industrial equipment.
· Experience managing project-based operations or installation-driven operations from sale through final delivery.
· Structural steel fabrication and field installation experience.
· Field service operations, construction project coordination, or industrial installation management.
· Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, process optimization, root cause analysis, and operational excellence practices.

Salary : $125,000 - $160,000
