Mechatronic Technician - Field Service
We are seeking a skilled Mechatronic Technician with hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance, electrical troubleshooting, and industrial equipment repair. The ideal candidate will have expertise in diagnosing and repairing complex systems, ensuring equipment reliability, and delivering exceptional field service support at client locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Replace or repair components including motors, brakes, controls, wire ropes, and gear assemblies
- Perform preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance on industrial and automated equipment
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and mechatronic systems
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
- Conduct equipment inspections and identify root causes of failures
- Support installation, commissioning, and servicing of industrial machinery
- Maintain accurate service reports and maintenance documentation
- Travel up to 40% to client locations to perform onsite repairs, diagnostics, and technical support
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and company policies
Required Qualifications:
- Experience as a Mechatronic Technician, Field Service Technician, or related technical role
- Strong knowledge of motors, gearboxes, braking systems, PLC controls, and electromechanical systems
- Ability to troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and travel to customer sites as needed
- Technical diploma, certification, or equivalent experience in Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, or related field
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with automation systems
- Knowledge of industrial controls and sensor technology
- Familiarity with conveyor systems, hoists, or material handling equipment
- Strong communication and time management skills
