About the Work

Join a plumbing and pipefitting team that installs, modifies, and services piping and utility systems in manufacturing facilities. Projects include machine installations, relocations, and facility upgrades alongside millwrights, electricians, riggers, and controls personnel.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Massachusetts-licensed plumber with strong commercial or industrial piping experience. Plumbers who have worked on substantial projects in big-box stores, large office complexes, manufacturing facilities, or similar settings are encouraged to apply. You should be comfortable installing and troubleshooting large, complex piping systems and working from drawings and field conditions.

Experience with process piping, chilled water, compressed air, and machine utility tie-ins is valuable, but prior work in wire and cable manufacturing is not required. This role is best suited to candidates whose experience extends beyond primarily residential service or construction.

Location: Fall River, MA / New England
Schedule: Full-time plus overtime
Travel: Primarily local and regional; approximately 30% travel as needed
License: Massachusetts Journeyman or Master Plumber required; Rhode Island license preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Install and modify process water, chilled-water, compressed-air, chemical, drain, and other utility piping systems.
• Complete equipment connections, cooling loops, headers, branch lines, and production-machine utility tie-ins.
• Work with PVC, CPVC, copper, galvanized, stainless steel, black steel, and other appropriate piping materials.
• Perform cutting, threading, grooving, soldering, brazing, pressing, mechanical joining, and pipe fit-up.
• Read blueprints, P&IDs, isometric drawings, and specifications to lay out and complete work to design intent and applicable code.
• Install valves, strainers, regulators, traps, supports, and instrumentation connections.
• Pressure-test, troubleshoot, repair, and commission piping and utility systems.
• Coordinate with other trades during equipment installations, relocations, and plant shutdowns.
• Communicate job progress and material needs, and help mentor apprentices and junior tradespeople.
• Follow applicable plumbing codes and site safety requirements, including OSHA procedures and lockout/tagout.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Massachusetts Journeyman or Master Plumber’s License.
• At least two years of hands-on plumbing or pipefitting experience on substantial commercial or industrial projects.
• Strong skills installing, modifying, and troubleshooting large-scale piping systems using multiple materials and joining methods.
• Ability to read drawings and specifications and work independently from field conditions.
• Knowledge of plumbing codes and safe practices on active job sites.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel periodically as projects require.

Preferred Qualifications

• Rhode Island plumbing license.
• Experience with industrial utility piping, process or chilled water, compressed air, chillers, cooling towers, or machine connections.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30, Confined Space, or First Aid/CPR training.
• Welding, weld preparation, or pipe fit-up experience.
